Manners, Charm Camps & Classes

You already have a great child, let me add the finishing touches with this short course on manners and social skills. Your child will learn table manners and dining skills, the 5 S’s of meeting others, electronic etiquette, the 8 R’s of getting along at home, party manners and how to be a good friend. Your child will also learn how to eat difficult food items like soup and spaghetti.

CHARM CAMP

The goal of this camp is to help young ladies develop confidence, poise and style. Instruction covers diet, exercise, posture, hair styling, make-up, nail care, fashion and a review of the rules of etiquette. As Shakespeare once said, “it is kindness in women and not their beauteous looks that will win my love.” Focus will be given to inner qualities that last a lifetime. For girls ages 8 and up.

SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS

The rules of etiquette and manners are extremely important life skills for students to learn. These principles will help students get along with others and give them a confidence in various social situations.

There are a total of seven presentation to choose from. Each session can last from 45-60 minutes, depending on the length of class. The class presentation combines food, role-play, writing, and lecture. A hand out for each student is given to fill in and use for future reference or to take home and discuss.

HOME SCHOOL CLASSES AND SPEECH

Home School Classes

Classes will be available for students in grades 7 through 12.

Speech

The goal of this class is to help students develop strong communication skills and feel comfortable and confident in the art of public speaking.  The class will cover the elements of developing a speech, overcoming anxiety of public speaking and how to communicate with clarity and confidence.  A minimum of five speeches will be required.

Prep for Success

This class helps students prepare for the next phase of life. The class covers three distinct areas: money management, relationships, business and college life. They will be given a book, “Success for Teens” as well as a ‘Prep for Success’ booklet.

Everyday Gentlemen

This class will help ordinary young men to become outstanding gentlemen. The class will cover diet, exercise, hygiene, grooming, dress, posture and communication. (Yes, they will learn how to write a thank you note.) In addition to the external development, we will focus each week on a character trait to be developed in their lives, such as chivalry, ambition, self control, honesty, loyalty, courtesy, resourcefulness, contentment and purity.
